    Nope, MDG just rebrands Acer notebooks, I doubt they have a contract.

    If you're gonna get an MDG you might as well just get Acer. MDG has freaking terrible service. Their desktops carry their own reputation.

    You say MDG has horrible service, but I know as afact that Acer, while not as bad, has sub-par service as well

    And to answer the question of MDG quality. THe answer is simply no. They are clone computers and while they aren't terrible, if other options are available, it would always be better to buy a brand name. I had a Pentium 4 HT machine and it quickly died. Customer support is weak too.
