2011 model with HDMI port. Now displays through HDMI like this: [IMG]

On the left is the laptop display and on the right Dell U2412M. My Sony KDL-40V5500K doesn't display anything through HDMI. I've opened up the laptop and searched for a broken connection or solder, nothing visible. Heated for a while with a heat gun, but no improvement. The HDMI connector is solid and doesn't wobble. However, the HDMI cables I've used really struggles with displaying anything through TV (I think the HDMI cable doesn't go deep enough on laptop HDMI port). Xbox 360 shows up real nice on U2412M but laptop signal is messed up.

Any chance of getting this thing fixed easily? I ordered a VGA male to HDMI female adapter, and hoping that the VGA port is not affected... Time will tell.

    Motherboard replacement? GTX560M replacement?
