I bought a Medion Notebook approximately a year ago. Ever since I bought I have only had troubles with it. It stands nowhere compared to the Sony notebook which I bought 8 years ago.
As new Medion used to skip letters. I had been using it with the problem for months until my son found a software fix by reading some threads in the forum. It is ironic that the tech support guys in Medion whom I was calling were not aware of it. Otherwise we would have fixed it long time ago.
Now the screen is blank (dark - appears no power). Nothing comes on the screen. The computer is just a year old ( or not - I do not have the receipt) and lost its warranty. The techies in the company where I am working seem to think it is the motherboard. When I called Medion, they seem to be interested only in charging. They do not want to stand behind their product. To speak to the tech support it costs $25. Diagnostic charges are $110. And the fixing will cost - ? (I was told if it is the mother board it will cost $400).
When I pay all these stuff, I will be paying a new computer price and will have a crap in my hand with 90 day warranty. Medion actually makes more money out of service by selling a poor product.
Could anybody give me a suggestion- how to make good of the 1100 dollar junk I am left with.
