    Hello,

I messed my keyboard while I was trying to clean it and some keys stopped working.
Looking closer I noticed the data cable was interrupted.

Is there any way to fix that?
I really have no clue.. Maybe some conducting tape could help.. Dunno..

    Here it is:

    Thanks!

ouch... that ribbon cable looks quite bent and messed up!

Really the only way I can think to solve the problem is contact compal and see if they'll send a new one!!

For the future... I wouldn't recommend disconnecting/reconnecting the keyboard cause those ribbon cables are quite fragile!

The contacts are pretty small so I don't think conducting tape will work. You could cutting it past the interruption or try getting a new flex cable.

I don't understand too much of eletronics not to say nothing.. but I don't think cutting the cable would solve it. There's something silver in the cable's edge... i think it is where the cable is held..

What is the name of that cable? Where can I buy one?

I found the keyboard to sell on ebay but they don't ship to Brazil :(

Take it to a serious phone repair centre, one that has laser soldering station and ask if they could carefully solder a hair thin piece of wire on top of that damaged track. This is the only solution I can see if not buying a new KB.

Yeah, I'll just buy another kb.

    Thanks for all the answers!

    I appreciate it

use a pen circuit writer to join it back that should be thin enough
