What do you guys think of Micro Express? They seem to be offering a lot of machine for a minimal amount of cash. However, there's little information available on this company and its products. Can someone help me out? What kind of customer service/quality history do they have?

If I looked at the right site Micro Express Computers -- it appears that they are sager resellers -- all of the models have NP in the model numbers - I have seen better prices on those systems from other resellers - I do not know how long they have been around or their service records. You may want to look at Jetta Jetbooks -- they are sold through resellers, Jetta has been around since 1991 and they will provide support directly to the resellers customers. (should anything happen to the reseller ) the customer could go directly to them.

So it would appear that the laptops at MicroExpress VERY closely resemble either Sager or Jetta laptops. The one that I'm interested looks exactly like the Jettbook 9520s...the only difference being that MicroExpress lets you order your computer sans OS. So...I guess if anyone can speak on the quality of the Jettbook...that would be very useful info.

I highly recommend the Jetbook Line of notebooks most people have not herd of them and that is because they do not spend money on advertising they spend it on product research and customer support. They let the notebooks and resellers do their advertising. I have been using their notebooks since 1998. If you should need service their average turn around time is 72 hours from the time they receive the notebook for service, they do all repairs in their own factory. They distribute their notebooks through over 3000 resellers. They ship most orders out to their resellers within 24 hours of the resellers order. Check several resellers some offer college discounts, lower prices, ship no operating systems and provide more support for their customers and keep in mind you can deal with Jetta directly if you do not want to go through the reseller you purchased the unit from. As to the 9520 that is an excellent choice the ODM is Compal as are all of the models that are 9XXX as well as the C235, The units that start QXXX are Quanta and the 2400, 2380 and 2340 are Uniwill. I hope this helps a little if you have any questions feel free to email me.
