So far have been more than happy with my 6625WD, but now have a minor niggle...

Windows Vista couldn't see my CD drive a few days ago - I rebooted and looked in the BIOS and it was not listed there, and there was no power getting to the unit either.

Next reboot I put some light pressure on the CD drive itself, and it popped back into life with power and was recognised by Vista with no problem.

It appears to be a minor loose connection because it intermittently fails to start unless you keep a little light pressure on the unit when you power up (sometimes it is perfectly ok).

I don't want to have to return the laptop for such a minor niggle, will my warrently br invalid if I take the drive out to see if I can reseat it a bit more firmly? I can see there is a screw marked for the optical drive under the case, is this the only screw holding the drive in place?

    Thanks,

    C.

You won't void the warranty by removing the drive and putting it back into place.
