I completely forgot to post that I have had my IFL90 for over a year now!

It hardly seems like it has been, and my laptop hasn't aged a single day after A LOT of use!

The keyboard has minor discoloring and maybe a little bit of bouncyness lost. Temperatures have stayed the same with not too much cleaning involved.

And well my special left side USB options still don't work. But I really don't care.

I'll probably write a little mini year review and post some pics of it's condition.

    But I have class soon!

    But.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY IFL90's EVERYWHERE!

Man, I was in the middle of writing "IFL90: One year later" but I never got the time to finish it. Oh well, it is one great notebook. Do you plan on replacing it any time soon? Personally, I feel the same as you in that it seems like I've only had this for a short time. Besides the scratches on the lid and the slightly bloated XP installation, it feels new.

Happy 1 year birthday! Other than some blemishes on the lid and a missing "I" button on the keyboard (in the process of RMA'ing it), it works well. It's a good laptop but i'm very tempted to upgrade to another unit in the future. I just like having the latest of the latest although I prefer desktops to laptops. We'll see how much money I make..... maybe I can get both.

Ive had mine since January, apart from a few scratches its good as new.
With my T7800 2.6ghz and 4gig ram I dont think i can upgrade any part apart from maybe upping my 250gig 5400hd for a 320gig 7200 at some point.

Think I'll improve much on performance hen i do that?

It's a superb laptop all you who waited for SRR and Montville models are looser. :p They didn't offer any noticeable performance change (CPU/middle VGA).

The new MSI laptop is the only other laptop out that I actually like more than mine. it's probably what I would have bought a year ago if it was out.

But even then it's not as low profile.

But for being over a year old... this laptop is in pristine condition.

Which i would obviously expect from a low user.. But from a gamer/use every day for a very long time...

I have never even had to reformat or anything.

It's fast, it's responsive, it works.

I thought the cheapish feeling plastics would wear down on the palm rests. but I see almost no color alteration...

And no, I will probably not get another laptop for a while... Another 1-2 years... If not more.

I mean.. I have had friends with latitudes that didn't look this good in a year. ;]

Me, I'm a little worried... My IFL90 is just over 1 year as well (ooh, remember the wait? That was awful...).

Anyways, I recently had my laptop repaired by powernotebooks.com -- they replaced the motherboard and video card, I was told (symptom: video died completely, after glitching out mid-game -- TeamFortress2).

So what happens early this morning? Video glitched-out again, mid-game! I've got a cooler on the laptop, and it didn't seem overly warm. While I'm very glad to have 2 more years under warranty, I really can't afford to have this back in the shop for two weeks again.
