Now that we know the production models light up in green, red or blue, it might be possible to create more colors if it were possible to activate the lighting sources that light up to each color simultaneously. Depending on how the system is designed, it would follow the RGB color principle. I remember someone here was working on a program to control the lighting from the OS via a program, and can maybe look into it. Thoughts?

I think the m15x and m1730 both use the RGB to produce different colours. That would be awesome on the Nagamaki as that could mean 16 colours

There wa a guy in this forum, Michael00003 or something that was going to write a program to change the colors. I don't know what it could do or if he ever made it.

It was MICHAELSDO1 and he was writing a program so you could change between the three default colours without restarting as the evaluation models required delving into the BIOS to change the colour. Thats changed now

No program is necessary. You no longer need to go into the BIOS to change the backlit colors. The colors can now be toggled using the Fn + F10 keys in Windows. Here's a link to K|N's GoG forum for pictures of the backlit keys. It's absolutely gorgeous.
