I was just at Office Depot and happened to check out the 5110P. It was remarkably and suprisingly well-built, with a very solid feel and lots of metal;quite impressive. One of the most solid pieces I have seen actually, better than the Fujitsu P5020. Very handsome unit too. It comes with a DVD burner too! I didnt have an opportunity to actually use it though becasue the salesman just pulled one from a box for me to play with. Its a wee bit large and heavy, but its a 15" so. Its very thin and solid. Keyboard feels good.

Going to do more reading on this brands models.

Neil, I'm confused, why are you comparing the Fujitsu P series to the Averatec 5110...they're totally different classes of notebooks? The P series has a 10 inch screen and is a sub-notebook.

Both the 3150 and 5110 Averatec models are lightweight. The 3150 being in the "Sub-Notebook" class. If it's really about price for the features (and not all about size), you can't go wrong with the 5110. You'll save mega $$$ over the Fujitsu.

    Hi Abaxter,

One of the things that is important to me is the 'feel' and sturdiness of the laptop. There are few on the market that are up to my par. I was comparing it to the P5020 only in that regard in my review, no other.
