K, thanks mate. ;) Just a quick question - is it the version with a glossy display?

    Thank you, I try!

The screen is matte, not glossy.

You are the master of suspense! :p

    Sorry but you are!

Shame it's not the glossy. Not sure I want to be the guinea pig :D I'm sure you've seen the thread about problems in BF2. The Zepto rep admitted it also happens in others...care to try Oblivion on it (one of the games)? Shame really...

I'll be trying WoW, CSS/HL2, Oblivion, F.E.A.R., Prey, Quake 4, and anything else I can think of on it. I only have BF1 on me, but I'll snag the demo for BF2 and give it a try too. This is definitely a portable gamer's notebook, so I'm going to make sure it's put through its paces.

If anyone wants to make sure anything is covered, please feel free to ask.

LFC i think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill, nvidia are fixing the problem they dont have any choice as it would render their 512 mb 7600 as a turkey if it cant play 3 of the biggest games out there ;)

I'm getting my 6214 next week hopefully. Same specs as the review model mentioned in this thread so won't be doing a review, but mine's got the glossy screen so will report on that. Never had one though so don't know quite how to judge...

Even Macs explode, so maybe this is desirable behavior. :)

All I'm allowed to say (for fear of my knees being broken) is that the review should be on the site this week..

The custom covers look great! Is there a glossy clearcoat over it?

This computer is as close as I´ve come to a dreamlaptop(with my budget) and my only gripe is with the battery.

Will there be other batteries available? I can´t do with the 6-cell and I don´t want a 12-cell AND a 6-cell. mostly because I fear the 12 will be huuge and seriously take away from the sleek design and well the 6 is rather useless to me.

Is it possible to get other brands to match...or are there any plans for getting more options in this compartement. I think the 9-cell high performance looks promising, but as far as I understand that wont fit the 6214/6314.

Does anyone have the possibility to post some pics of how the laptop looks with the 12-cell battery? Also what are the specs of that battery(without powersaving)

    Thank you all.

Thanks for the pics. That didn´t look as bad as I had imagined.
