Tried flashing my IFL90 to 1.16, and then it froze...without any errors.

The only problem is, the power button doesn't work...

Anyone know what I should do now? I bought this from Ibuypower.com back in july.

If it's under warranty, send it in?

If it doesn't start up you can't do anything, don’t worry, just send it to warranty ant say that it has just stopped working, and they will make a MoBo change, maybe even with Pernyn support. :)

Try to go either go back to your original BIOS or to a lower version (e.g. 1.15), just use the same flashing process. Since you cannot work with your laptop now to get another BIOS version on your USB drive or CD, you can certainly do it from another PC.

If his computer won't start up, that means he can't boot anything. Just take it in, and like someone above me said you might get penryn support.

I didn't read that it doesn't starts anymore, I red; "it freezes". This seems to be a bad BIOS update execution.

@Ghmac: Can you please clarify what happens when you press the power button?

Nothing happens, no lights, no bios, no nothing.

A BIOS upgrade would not cause such "blackout", I think your problem is more power related.

Take the battery out and measure the voltage supply, perhaps your battery is dead. Now I know that if you attempt to flash the BIOS and that you get a lack of power, then the BIOS flashing is corrupted, however that would not prevent from starting the flashing process again, but if your battery is down, nothing will help you to come back but another good battery.

Well, wouldn't taking out the battery and plugging it into the wall work?

If it was a battery issue then that should bypass it....

Contact ibuypower, and let them know your laptop isn't working.

    And go from there.

Check this line BIOS upgrade is always on your own risk.
BAD BIOS flash isn't support or warranty when this isn't done by an expert.

I hope you will get yours repaired, but keep it in mind.
