After 2.5 years of moderate use,

the system it self works fine, it just that the casing has developed some mysteriouse cracks. Like damn, I have never ever dropped or roughly handled this machine.

It seems to get hot real quick, the fan runs basicly non stop.
I am tempted to open it up and see if there is dust collecting, but my extended warranty with future shop, they have put a warranty void seal sticker on the screws...

The Averatecs typically run hot and are rather poorly designed for moderate long term use. See all the cracked hinges/case stuff in this forum. Not much you can do for it and Averatec basically could care less. But, I guess we get what we pay for although they weren't all that cheap. My 7100 is still going strong after my 2 1/2 month episode with their warranty service. But the lid is "tight" in that I have to take it easy on it when opening.

I've seen the posts. Ayway, I will either part it out or turn it into a door stop if anything further happens to it. Sure don't want anything further to do with Trigem/Averatec.

I paid $1700 for this back then with extended warranty which saved my ass when i spilt water on it.

about to go buy another laptop and leave this for just internet use.
