I have an N2700, but a while back some punch got spilled on it. I managed to dry it off and save it. It's been working well for about the past 3 months. Today it booted up just fine, but when I entered a webpage, or a notepad It was like the "=" sign was stuck down....it's all it would type. When I tried to reboot and select normal windows boot up the keyboard had stopped working all together. When I let the timer run out and boot to windows the mouse pad was working fine, but I had the same issue with the "=" sign. It should be mentioned that I've recently removed each key and cleaned under it with denatured alcohol and an old electric toothbrush.
Id like to know if there have been any similar issues, or failing that if anyone has been able to successfully disassemble an n2700.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but the CMOS battery has recently died, but having no idea how to take this apart I haven't been able to locate it to replace it.
Edit:
I've managed to get it apart except I can't seem to completely disconnect the keyboard from the "hull" It looks like it's attached under the monitor or something. It seems that I've pulled the keyboard and now the mouse ribbons out of their ports...which would explain why they're not working.
Anyways...if anyone's take the keyboard off of one of these let me know before I break it or something
Thanks
