As my Nox A14's 9600GT got overheated last december due to my sister-in-law playing games with the notebook resting on the bedsheets, I had to get a replacement gfx card.. I managed to get a radeon via mxm-upgrade.com, buttt now I'm stuck disassembling the A14! I can't find any more screws to get out, I tried sticking flat objects between every ridge I can find, but I don't manage to get the cooler out of it's way to replace the MXM card![]()
I made pictures of the front- and the backside (apologies for the bad lighting, it's a bit too dark in here). Does anyone have any hints or tips on how I could make some progression here?

Well you don't need to pull it apart.
First tighten all the screws that hold the copper parts on to the CPU and GPU.
If you have removed the screws from the fan itself, just pull it slowly out by getting the part of the fan closest to the graphics card out first. It is fastened with tape on the bottom under the fan and on the top also sitting on the copper cooler at the side of the notebook.

When you have removed the fan you can remove the copper parts without a hassle. No need to unscrew every screw in the casing just to exchange the graphics card.
Zepto designed the model so it was as easy as possible to exchange the CPU, RAM , GPU, WLAN and HDD and entire cooling system. -
Brilliant! Thanks for the quick reply, it was the tape I didn't dare to remove at first.. should've done so, would have spared a lot time & screws
Now I just need to find out if I can (forcibly) remove the backplate/bracket of the 9600GT to place it on the new HD4570.. Gonna try & continue tonight!

Interesting... the backplate is there for the heatsink screws thread into. So you're saying that the HD4570 doesn't already have a backplate?
