I have noticed that there is an issue with the microphone with many chassis out there.

    Issue:
When I tried to run VoIP Application such as Skype, or Voice Recorder.
My voice would be interfered heavily with magnetic tone or static noise.

    Solution:
I have installed the latest v1.79 for my Vista but the problem exists still.
I also tested the older version v1.72 but no luck.

Hope this is just my problem.

i had that problem with an HEL 80, the IFL 90 that I have has decent microphone pick-up as long as you are very cl;ose to the screen. a bluetooth headset works better as the sound is better and it allows you more freedom

Compal (H)EL81 is the same... I think Realtek isn't that good at high-definition audio.
