    Need help to know what I have (FL92)

    I'm new to Compal laptops. Honestly, I usually buy Dell. (I like their docking stations/port replicators)

    I have a few questions about this lappy.

    1. How do I know if I have the Intel Turbo Memory module?
    2. Can I add an IR reciever for media center?
    3. Can I add some tv input?

    The vendor that we go through locally also said the best screen I could get was 1440x900. I really would like 1680x1050. Makes Visual Studio easier without all the scrolling.

    the turbo memory is a costly option and will be given in ur invoice. moreover the intel console that u install with the drivers can tell u whether u have ITM or not. also the ITM is installed in the PCIex 1x slots. checking their occcupancy using some info programs like the everest or hwinfo32 will show this

    1. How do I know if I have the Intel Turbo Memory module?
    --> You can normally view it in the Bios or you can also view it in the Device Manger under "Disk Drives". It is labeled as "IMD-0"
    2. Can I add an IR reciever for media center?
    --> You can add a USB IR Receiver
    3. Can I add some tv input?
    --> It would be best to check with your reseller to confirm it can be added.

    1. How do I know if I have the Intel Turbo Memory module?

    Press the Start icon and look for the; Intel Turbo Memory folder and open the console to see if it's installed. Also, check the Intel Processor ID Utility, they work together.


    2. Can I add an IR reciever for media center?

    The IR is normally built in and in the front of the laptop besides the wireless/bt switch.


    3. Can I add some tv input?

    The TV (S-Video and antenna) inputs are in the right side towards the back, they come with the laptop, but you must purchase the TV tuner mini card (which goes inside the laptop above the ethernet mini card) to be able to use them.
