Need some assistance with the older CQ12 series

I am trying to get a few of these older models up and going again for a few more deployments, but I am having some problems with the wireless.

At first, two of these CQ12's did not come with wireless cards installed. I installed Intel 2915 MiniPCI wireless adapters into them thinking that they would work in the CQ12's. They seem to install fine in Windows XP, but I am unable to get any wireless signals. I have checked the MAIN and AUX cables, they are fine. The wireless cards were working fine as they came out of other notebooks.

I have done a bit of research, and it appears that these models like most others require a wireless select switch utility. I have been spending the past while looking for one that works with the CQ12, but I have not been successful. Does anyone know how to get the wireless activated and working within Windows XP?

    Thanks.

What happens if you go on network connections and right click on wireless and select enable?

I think that card requires the intel proset tools to control the card and to scan for networks.

I'll think I have tried the Proset tools, but I'll look into it. I'm currently using an SMC PCMCIA for the time being but it would be nice to use the MiniPCI BUS.
