Seems a bit ho-hum to me. The RAM is still DDR2 and the weight is just too high for a 12.1". The only thing that would make this laptop worth while is to price it around $500.

Looks like a black and slightly-thicker version of my old laptop. I don't really trust Averatec's quality and support, as my 2155 had hardware issues after less than a year. Overall laptop was a bit cheap-looking too. However, you get what you pay for, and Averatec has some of the cheapest 12" laptops out there.

You have to remember though that the 2500 series was made by MSI, so quality is very good on these. I opened mine up and saw on the motherboard the name MSI, etc. also MSI has a model just like it so it is just a rebranded MSI, and *maybe* the 2700 series is also a rebranded MSI. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

The 2100 series was also an MSI rebrand, and I was definitely not impressed with the overall quality.

Does anyone know the US release dates on the 2700 Series? I have a great time with my 3250, no complaints save the touchpad, DC-port, and battery life. They took care of all that for free--minus the battery of course.
