got EL80 , updated to 1.23 .
works. nothing seems wrong and temps are same. -
runs nice and smooth. the fan SEEMS to be on for less time than with 121B. dunno.
it could be placebo
But I think it would go to a level where it used to be on for quite some time, then it would just stay on for longer in 121. in 123, it just pops on and off whenever necesary... dunno if it's good for the fan to spin up and down so, rather than keep at a steady level, but it certainly is better for my ears
generally, a thumbs up bios!
cheers! -
anyone else has updated to 1.23?
especially anyone using linux? -
Working without any problems, Linux is not tested (SuSE 10.3 x64), but i don't think that it will make any problems.

As you can see in my signature, I am using Linux. No problems so far. Not a one.

1.23 BIOS upgrade is working fine on my end with Win XP. Seems like the fan is working less often. Otherwise there aren't any other discernable differences from the previous version. However, the issue regarding the 2nd programmable button (Sidewalker) has yet to be resolved... at least on my notebook.
