Uh, didn't they recently get bought out because of bad financial status?

Yes, but the financial problem was caused by one of the staff pocketing a lot of revenue rather than a precarious business model.

Regarding a Rock forum, perhaps we could add one. Some of the Rock notebooks are Clevo and get discussed in the Clevo forum, but I understand that they also have other sources.

In the mean time this thread fits better in the other manufacturers forum so I'm moving it.

Well, Rock doesn't appear to have ANY stock of the new notebooks. Which unfortunately, isn't a good start. Especially when there reputation is damaged.

Ty my apologies. Looked under R in for Rock and didn't see it, so didn't bother looking down more (where the Other Manufacturers section is).

I have a Rock XTreme CTX (Clevo M570U). My expereince with them has been good... they couldn't repair my notebook so they replaced it with a new one (with a couple of the old parts swapped over) :) I have heard some dodgy reports about their service, however it generally seems to be on the Pegasus models rather than the Xtreme Models. For information, the Xtreme laptops are based on Clevo Chassis, and the new pegasus ones are based on Asus and Mitac although previous ones have been based around uniwill and vestel.

I think that for better value and probably support aswell, Novatech ( www.novatech.com) are probably a better bet They have very similar products and tend to be significantly cheaper :)
