I think the explanation on the updates in the changelog for z118 should have been a bit more specified.

Why the Vista update? Was Vista not recognized properly?

What made this BIOS more stable? Temperatures?

    Best regards

    Kehax,
Updated Vista support is just because one of the implementations for Vista where not done properly at first apparently. Which i don't know I only know what is written in the Changelog. :)

Increased stability i think speaks for itself. Basicly increased stability, nothing to do with if your machine is unstable because of temperatures. That can only be fixed by sending the machine in for repair.

Temperatures can't be lowered via a BIOS update. Only if the way the temps are showed are changed, but that doesn't lower the temps in any way. ;)

    Thank you Rene :)

I think I get your point with the temperatures. My 6214W is not in need of repair. I just had the fan cleaned and it's as good as new ;)

Still no fix for the touchpad on/off setting? That's the only improvement of the bios I'm waiting for. I use a usb mouse and it's pretty annoying to have to switch off the touchpad manually each time I boot.

I find it strange no one else finds this an issue.
