Is there a ?way to get a new keyboard for the Hel80 perhaps one that feels a little better?

Some HEL80 owners have applied double-sided tape on the back of their keyboards to reduce the bounce. I personally don't think it's unusable.

I think the best thing for you is to get a full-sized external keyboard and maybe even a mouse. That's what I've always done with my laptops.
