    "Powerful and upgradeable graphics solutions
The Zepto Nox is built on the Nvidia MXM platform, which means you will be able to upgrade your Nox for years to come."

this is all most to good to believe any have more information on this?

Can we change the GFX to 9800M GT?
How do we get these new GFX cards? through Zepto?

i've seen companies touting MXM for a few years (roughly 3), but no one has really ever been able to utilize such a feature yet.

    A 9800 doesn't fit in a 15,4" model ;-)

And Zepto told me that the Mythos will come next week!

(and that the 14 inch models will have the same hardware)

Judging from the Digitimes. There doesn't seem to be evidence of them using ODMs.

A quote from MSI international's web site:
"MSI is a specialist in the design and manufacture of motherboards, add-on cards, servers/workstations, barebones, communication devices and CE Products and Notebooks."
    They do not use ODM's.

I was told the release period will be as last year from june to end august/start september.
So the expected models will come out from now until start september. In which order they can't inform about.

Thank you, by the looks of things they are phaseing out the Inventec machines!

    Goodbye Inventec!!!

I wonder if the Compal machines will also exit? Are they going to take it alone without a ODM?

    Good things to come!

Is it just me, or are they not offering the Pxxx processor anymore (nox)?

I've talked to them and it seems Intel wanted them to remove the new namings on the CPU's as they are not official yet, so Zepto can't offer them officially yet.

I was told that basically when you order for example a T9300 2.53GHz it will be a P9500 2.53GHz when you receive the machine. So you can order the machine without problems now as you will not receive a machine with the T9300 processor but with the P9500 anyhow. The partnumers are for the new processors.

    See here:
    6625WD - T9300 2.50GHz - partno: 120633
    Nox A15 - T9300 2.53GHz - partno: 120643 (same as the P9500 was before)

It is possible that the new generation of CPU and GPU will generate a little less heat. However, unless Zepto are into clever tricks such as a heat pipe into the display to help dissipate heat, or tolerate a high case temperature, the need for a good cooling system is going to be one factor controlling the overall thickness. It is possible to use a smaller fan running faster but this is much noisier than a big fan running more slowly.

Ah okay, that might explain the black colour for the Nox then.
(Black non-glossy surfaces emit heat more rapidly)

I'd really be amazed to see the thickness of the mbp into a really hardcore gaming 15.4" zepto like the nox...
Guess that we'll have to wait for your review CLB-NL... :)

Is the 2.7cm of thickness uniform on every part of the laptop? Or like the xps which gets kind of bulky at the rear end?

Cool :) Could we hope to get a review on about the 12th of July then? :p

If it was measured by the person who measured the Notus, then that thickness is up to the top of the palm rest! It will be challenging to fit a good cooling system into 27mm less the display thickness. Small fans running fast get very noisy.

The Nox looks to be the same thickness both in front and back, so should be 27mm all across.

Just got informed by my local zeptodealer (okay it was yesterday), that they will support and promote a usertest of the nox (for the germans out there check out: http://www.forumdeluxx.de/forum/showthread.php?t=311135&page=62 ) so there might be someone later this week able to give more information (if nobody else could be found this will be me^^)

    So stay tuned

And I've have confirmed that the Zepto Mythos will have exactly the same hardware as the Zepto Nox (and the only difference is just the color)

And I've heard something about new 15,4" MONSTER-Zepto's... Very nice :)

I just talked to Zepto today and the Mythos A15 is officially released for preorder/order very very soon. :)
Looking forward to this :) I like the white model so much.

I got this information about the story behind the naming of it:

"The name ’Zepto’ is Greek. The same goes for this series named after the Greek word Mythos. According to Greek mythology, Mythos means ’History’ or ’Legend’ – words which many associate with adventurous tales, heroes and inhuman strength.

With the Mythos series Zepto wanted to create something historical and powerful – resulting in a unique, Danish notebook in our most beautiful design to date. The series is based on the latest and fastest technology available, and is designed in a white, exclusive and robust material. The Mythos series also features a discretely illuminated Zepto logo."

It's featureing the exact same configuration possibilities as the Nox A15

Bumping this, as I won't make a new and fancy thread. Two new models has been released, Orion and Anthea - both 15,4" and designed for office/school use. They are on the danish webpage.

There's also the Nexus, which is the Nox with a few less parts. A detailed comparison is here. All these new 15.4" notebooks appear to use the same chassis and have the same user guide (posted on the Zepto ftp site yesterday).
