    WOW is right!

I wonder what Zepto will do now... The T7100 is ok not great because it has only 2MB cache. Zepto Germany said they already shipped 2.0GHz 6224W. I think most people got the 2.0ghz because it was such a cheap upgrade.

I was ready to redo my order this morning with 2x 6324's with 2ghz processors down from 2.4ghz as originally ordered, but now I think the 6224W/6324W has gone as an option and will be switched to 3415W as a final choice.
    Now to check on availability...

That's why would have liked it, wave.
Other 14 inch notebooks are available with the T7300, such as the ASUS A8Sc and the HP dv2500 etc - so I would've thought this is something that Zepto can sort out hopefully.

Before you order the Zepto 3415W look here:
    http://www.rizeon.com/rizeon_fl90.php

It has the 1440x900 screen. The upgrades are cheaper then at Zepto which makes a 2+ghz laptop wiht 2Gb Ram cheaper then Zepto. Just not too sure about the service they have.

They probably have faced a shortage in the CPU supply, and it happens for many companies. No biggie IMO.

The thing is normaly when Zepto doesnt have supply they leave the option open and just mark it yellow or red saying it will delay shipping by 20 days or whaterver.

Also the other Zepto SR laptops still got all the options: T7300, T7500 and T7700
The T7300 has a delay of 9 days.

Also thanks for finding the Rizeon IFL90 goes to JasonO from the Compal forum

    edit: *** Update

Zepto Germany said that Zepto DK made the decision to pull the T7300. It is a problem with the laptop and not just a lack of stock. But the problem is not known. Most people are guessing heat but it is just speculation. Some T7300s have already been shipped and they will be delivered by Saturday (in Germany).

Well found, WAVE. RIZEON looks very tempting compared to Zepto which is looking increasingly uncompetitive especially if the 6224 is not avaialble with at least the T7300.

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!!! HANG ON A SEC!! I have ordered a 6224W with a T7300, will it come with the T7300 or will they change it? I haven't been notified of this from Zepto, and if I haven't I choose to believe my laptop will come with the T7300.

So what happens with the orders for the T7300? I too ordered a 6324W with a T7300.

I am tempted to switch to the 3415W but that wont be available until mid/end July.

I think the offical possition of Zepto is that all orders for the 6224W with 2 or more GHZ are delayed. Not canceled but delayed. If you want you notebook faster you can change the order to the T7100. Otherwise you will have to wait till they find a solution or cancel your order.

    Agreed...

For the moment I'm going to get my cash back into my bank account and then watch Zepto's website for any new developments.
I've already discussed this with Iann Burgess who heads up Zepto's UK division in Denmark, whom, I'd like to add, has been excellent over the past few weeks and kept me constantly up to date with my order and any other info he's deemed relevant... To Zepto: You've got a great employee there, and an absolute credit to your company!
Hopefully, Zepto will, I'm sure, get this issue resolved as soon as possible...

Zepto, what is the situation regarding the 6224 and the 6234 on the UK website. The 6224 is available on the UK website with options for T7300, T7500 and T7700, and the 6234 has only the T7100.

I think you looked wrong. Both the 6224 and 6234 have only the T7100 available for ordering. Only the bigger 6625WD and 3425 have the T7300, T7500 and T7700.

Zepto at this time can only say that the 2.0 and 2.2 2.4 should not be on the websites.I will check and update the website if they are. We do not want to ship out notebooks that may incur problems which I hope people can understand and advice staying calm for now as the battle has not be lost at all. I know this is vague but the forum will be the 1st place to know of any developments

I for one would much rather wait and get a notebook which will be as reliable as possible. Fortunately, I don't have to buy for another couple of months yet.
    Thanks for the info ZeptoUK.

This issue is getting worser and worser, I really hope they can fix this by the end of the month if not I MAY search for another notebook. By the way did the Cpu of the 6214w had heat problems or was it the Gpu?

I really want this computer, but I refuse to purchase it if is is below 2.2GHz. I really hope they solve whatever issue they are having...

P.S. On the global site, the 6324w has the 2.0 GHz proc if you customize it under "value" (as opposed to "power")

T7300 is avaible in fi.zepto.com, allthough with a yellow emblem.

wingman4ever, the problem is the CPU, though it has not been clearly stated that why T7300 has been pulled from sale, could be overheating or something with the bios. GPU's in these new models should be pretty cool compared to their predecessors. My GPU sometimes reaches 101 degrees, and i read somewhere in this forum that 8600M GT in 6224W runs mostly at 80 degrees, or 85-89 when OC'd.

Today Zepto can announce that ANY customers who have already ordered a 2.2GHZ (T7500) or 2.4GHZ (T7700) WILL have their notebooks delivered with these processors. We have found a solution for this and we do NOT expect any problems to arise from this. HOWEVER this solution is not practical for us as a company due to the time involved so from today the 14" notebooks (6024,6324,6224) will have the options of 1.8GHZ (T7100) and 2.0GHZ (T7300). Please remember that this does not effect the 15" notebooks in any way and the 2.2GHZ and 2.4GHZ can still be ordered.

does this still apply? I have been configuring a 6324W today but it only shows the 1.8GHz T7100?

Please could someone confirm if the faster 2GHz T7300 in a 6324W is a possibility in the UK?

Give Iann a call on 0845 602 0985 and have a chat with him. I think he's been so snowed under with developments of the past few days that he just hasn't gotten around to updating the site yet.
I cancelled my orders yesterday but got them back on today, so...

I take it your order is back on the production line?

The whole situation has been worrying since I placed the order but "Ian B." has been so great and faultless in communication that I too have left my order to continue.

I want to say if Zepto after sales (which I don't want to use) is anything like Ian's support, then I will have nothing to worry about...
