Hi! Been posting before, and I thank everyone that answered last time. Did some thinking and some saving while I borowed another laptop, and now Im once again trying to figure out what to buy.

Zepto still seems like a good purchase, but I cant figure out wich one I would want.

This is a pretty long post with a lot of options but I hope atleast someone can shed some light because this took me about 1.5 hours. :D One of the things Im trying to figure out is if I would buy an expensive laptop to play games with, or buy a cheaper one and use the extra money for a playstation or something instead.

Now, I have converted the currency to USD, but dont drop your jaw when you see the prices; the $ just happens to be really, really, really low today. You can almost cut the pricetags in half and get the real value for me.

First of all, this is pretty much my dream laptop (on paper atleast):

Here is one that has a good res. but is pretty ordinary in other aspects including pricetag:
Another similar option, cheaper but with lower res.:

Heres maybe the prime "add you own Playstation"-option:

    A bit more power:
    Worse resolution, but cheaper:

No idea here. Please comment on this one if you have seen/used it. Very similar to 6224W in specs of course, and same price:
    Decisions.. Right.
    A few general questions:

    - How do you think a lower res (12xx) will bother me? Right now I use a 1024 and that does bother me a bit when playing poker and stuff. How much do you other care?

    - How much would a slower one like Titan A15 be troubbled by everyday use? Movies, study, internet, poker, general multitasking... Will I only notice it playing games, or is it frustratingly slow?

    - How about the problems everyone posts about? Are they mostly excluded to the 6x-series? Excluded to the powermachines and not the slower ones?

    Puh, now Im tired.
Thanks in advance for any responce!

Why a Zepto? There's so many other brands that carry superior laptops at much lower prices. The only thing you're buying from Zepto is the brand name, which isn't even famous over here in North America.

Really? Thing is, I´ve looked around and Zepto is the only place I´ve found good laptops for a decent price. When looking at IBM and stuff the price skyrockets whenever I want a decent GPU/CPU combo, even in the 8600 GPU range I´ve found nothing I´d be willing to shell out for. What would you say is better?

Oh, found another config. for Graphics:
So, the same price as the 6224W, with these differences:
    - Slower CPU, but decent (or will 1.8 be a problem?)
    - 2GB ram (will that be a problem; and can I upgrade it later?)
    - Better resolution!!

Znote 6625WD have gotten great reviews where I´ve looked.

You may consider going through the forums here in regards to the 6 series,
specifically the 6625. There are plenty of user reviews about the 6625 which
might provide a more 'real world' synopsis. If you're not located in Denmark,
consider that if you ever have an issue with the laptop you've got a long
turn around time for service. Long being at least 1 week, probably a minimum
    of two or more average.

After reading the Zepto forum you still want one?

Anyway Rizeon sells compal laptops, they offer the same performance as Zeptos and the prices are the same but Zepto has more choices for laptops.

The customer satisfaction from Rizeon is much higher than that from Zepto thus far.

If your in the US then try the gateway p series they are affordable and very high end, or go for sager.

I reckon you will get more responses if you fill out the form and post it in the "which notebook should I buy thread"

The Zepto notebooks aren't all bad. I think they have sold a lot more notebooks than the number of grumbling members of this forum so it may be that the proportion of problems is only average. However, as already noted above, time to fix problems is not impressive.

But, if you want only a Zepto, tell us what your usage requirements are.

I wouldn't be too quick to bash Zepto, but there are a few legitimate concerns on these forums.

    1. Apparently, the gpu of the 8600M is faulty and if you are unlucky you could be stuck with a card that is "defective" (like mine) and performs very poorly when the gpu temp rises.

    2. Heat dissipation (spelling?) all around is pretty poor, atleast with the 6224.

    3. The 6624 BIOS seems a bit "un optimized" to say the least, atleast thats my impression from browsing the forum.

But hey, the laptop looks kinda nice, thats always something isnt it ;)?
