EDIT: Before making your buying decison..please see this review of a few resellers
Hi all, new to this side of the Forums.. I've had a Gateway 7811FX since it's release date..and I have been very satisfied with it's performance vs. cost balance. A couple of friends pointed out the Whiteboook to me, as I was considering upgrading to a NP9262. Well, I made the leap into the World of Whitebook..and am awaiting mine to arrive.

In the meantime, I'd love to see how everyone elses performs. Just to be able to gain a perspective on what to expect. I assure you, there are many others just like myself who are very interested on the performance, and stability of this new system!

Please, feel free to post your results..and if we could keep the system config's in your post that would be great! Ya never know, some rebrands may do better than others :)

Check it out, poost as much of this as possible..or as much as you'd like:

Whitebook Vendor ( XoticPC, Killer Notebooks, etc.)
    CPU type
Amount and Type of RAM - 1066 or 1333 MHz
    Video Driver Version
Temps of the CPU/GPU/HDDs - Download HWMonitor here
If you OC the CPU or GPUs let us know! :)

I'm sure people would most like to see 3dMark06, 3dMark Vantage, Crysis, and anything else you'd like to share. Thanks to all who participate, your help is greatly appreciated!

Well, hopefully it arrives soon! As I said, I recently ordered.. but seeing as there's not a whole lot for them to build..I'm hopin it arrives soon. Justin sent a message askin my order #, so he could check on the status.. Hopefully he'll have them throw it together for me so I can do the rest :)

A system with the X9100 and dual Ati`s should score 13.5 easily and higher.
I have great expectations from this notebook...

Dang E just ran across your thread on Whitebook that got closed. I've never started a thread that got closed before ... congrats - another mile stone. I didn't even get in before termination ... snooze you looze.

Good choice on Xotic I think. I've never bought from them but Justin seems to be a great guy by his posts. I'd use them in hear beat. I'm with you ... at the first sign of arrogance I'm history. Good heads up on vendors.

yep, i knew this but was looking for more backing on this. because i too have full control over my desktop running the outdated q6600 with ggtx280 on a maximus formula x38. but with laptops they tie that in together so when you start making fsb changes it raises the who system as a whole and in fact it's essentially over clocking your gpu well over its show stock clocks. couldn't really get anyone to attest to this openly and me searhing forums was getting a bit tiring...*LOL*

i ran a bunch of benchmarks in that thread, have you went over to compare them yet?

You can get it running, it is not currently supported by OCZ. Most the drivers can be found but a few are not available.

No tweaking, some Crysis benchmarks. I'm having trouble getting the 64 version benchmarking properly, it starts up and runs but then dumps old numbers. Not sure what the deal is. Still had normal stuff like sidebar and Trillian running in the background.

    All settings High.

it just matters in the average frames for this test...but the lows show you how low it will go which is also a main concern for something like firefights.

alpha, did you first run crysis game and change the settings inside the game to the same settings you ran the benchmark with? I.E. Set res to 1920x1200, and all settings high... then save, and close crysis. Then run your benchmark?

I really thought that all the crysis benches were typically done with dx10...maybe I'm wrong.

That way we can compare apples to apples.

your using the correct one. it benchmarks exactly what the game settings are...that's why it's best to set crysis to high and res at 1920x1200. then you can test all the way down to 800x600 and the lowest detail as possible without flubbing your scores. and to really be on the safe side... set it to very high and max res in game..then you will never have a flubbed crysis benchmark score. then once you finish...set it back to normal. that generic addon bench has issues....if you game is set to 1024x768 and you run that bench at 1920x1200...you like...im the king of fps!, but in reality....your not...*LOL* you took 1024x768 and upscaled it to 1920x1200 and thus giving you the super human fps speeds...i fell victim to this so i know it's more than possible. that's why everyone says use the benchmark_gpu.....
