The new Xplorer X6 Sandy Bridge notebooks sold by CyberPower PC look impressive on both specs and prices. Does anyone know who makes those?

Any impression and hands-on with this new line will be much appreciated.

I JUST called Cyberpower a few days ago, they informed me the x6's are Clevo parts... I ordered mine on 3/21, watch the reviews page for a review!

Cool. I am more interested in the display quality and trackpad use. I am looking for a notebook for programming than gaming.

The display advertises as 1080p, so I'm really PRAYING it will be solid. The trackpad I'm not sure about, but i tend to use wireless mice.

Honestly, go for it. My full review is still pending. But first impressions, this laptop fits the bill. Strong display, decent keyboard, the trackpad is a little sensitive but good overall. No build quality issues.

That's good to know. Still like to see your more detailed review. One question on the trackpad: Does it support 1-finger scroll? By that I mean can you scroll by swiping on the edges of the pad? My wife's Asus requires 2-finger for scrolling. I used to have a Apple iBook with a 3rd party driver that enables me to scroll by dragging 1 finger at the edges. Thanks.

My review in process has a bit of info on this. Its not drag to scroll, but rather that the top/bottom right corners are set to be a "scroll only" area, so you just tap it.

Well. That's good enough. As long as it's 1-finger.

Yes, I am that lazy. :)

Haha, yes it is. I have the majority of the review done, but since I have NEVER done one... I am VERY unsure about the layout and formatting.

Just have a lot of pictures. People love pictures. Especially cute kittens. :)

Looking forward to your review. Scrapping changes from the couches at the same time...

Review is UP... Albeit quite roughly formatted. Pictures just uploaded.
