Kind of pointless to post in an OCZ forum now---if Flextronic ever finds another distributer they could rename this Flextronic Arima, but for now most people are looking in the Alienware forum for m17 threads

yeah i im still very interested, i hope they do find someone else to release it and i hope it gets the 4870x2 upgrade as well - even though i really want this i would never go for Alienware: 1, too expensive 2, poor customer service

the only thing about Alienware i like is the ribbed lid design, thats very cool :)

True but i wanted to see who would be still wanted one but becasue they stop in the middle of processing, they couldnt get there hands on one in time.

And you are right i should of posted this in the Alienware forums. :(
Yeah that design looks very good. i think i want to get one for my whitebook but it is just that my computer stands out when i'm at school(i feel good.) "OCZ Technology" come on.

well the only thing is, you buy a barebone. and then you set it up the way you like it. not how they want to give it to you. that why in stores i laugh when i see people in the desktop part saying "i wish i they both had the same features." (i ask if they want me to build them something better but then they get scared so i walk away.)

Me to. but the 3870's are great right now. so i'm not in no rush.

i would have loved to build mine but i decided against it. For the warranty ....though it may be crappy its still one none the less. :D and i offer to build them a computer and then they walk away and go talk to the best buy or walmart rep only to pay hundreds more ....there so sneaky :D

i was just looking at Alienware -its very expensive getting a base m17 and only adding 3870x2 and getting bigger rez screen made the thing come to £1,457.05 and i hadnt even got the CPU or anything yet its just simply too expensive for what you get.

has it been confirmed that the whitebook will be able to use the 4870x2? i believe the alienware m17 has been confirmed does that mean the whitebookwill be able to use it or will it be exclusive to the m17 - like i have heard?

depends if another manufactor picks up the Whitebook and develop the cards other wise your going to have to get the 4870's off
AW owners and that may prove tricky. RK computers had confirmed future support for 4870's on its site for about a month n a half before they stopped selling. It is all unclear the future of ocz Whitebooks until a manufactorer picks it up or not. Some one has to design stuff after all

Lol. I am excited to see ATi clean up their act, and I would wager that these 3870s are very capable. It seems they are held back by software support, much as the Whitebook is. Bring on the mobile specific, performance aimed GPU drivers, and a new bios that supports correct voltage threshold divisors.

i think so to. if know that these 3870CF can perform alot better than they are i think that there about 80% maybe lower of what they can really do. and with hardware crossfire, i think even more performance can come out it.
