You seen the discounted power config for the 6224W on the uk site?

Thought I knew what a wanted - a 6024W - and now you can configure a 6224W for the same price, but with a faster hdd..

I think I'd still actually rather have the increased battery life of the 6024W over the better graphics card of the 6224W, since I don't need high end graphics.

Hey, will we see a similar discount on the 6024W too ? ;)

Its the same on the swedish site. Was wanting the 6324w but am hardly paying 15% extra for some white plastic.

The black doesn't have shine-through issues either :).

I hope the discount lasts long enough for my order to get put through. I haven't had a reply from [email protected] for four days (he's processing my order). I'll be very annoyed if I miss this.

Thought about that, but wouldnt bother me too much, rather have the nicer looks of the 6324w. :) Ah well if they dont match the prices I'll not get the 6324w and might just end up getting the 6224w.

Why dont you put your order through their site? Cant see them declining you this discount as you surely did your part and tried to order while it was active.

Hmm, this must be wrong... on the swedish site now the power config for 6224 starts at less money than the value config - but with much better parts...

    they must have messed up?

Actually I think it's on purpose..
I've seen it alot of times with Zepto, that they put together a discount,
but it only applies to the topconfig

Hmm, another thing is that the 6224 Value is more expensive than the 6324 Value... with all parts the same except that the 6224 has only 512 mb ram and 6324 has 1024 mb...

= Costs more with black case and less ram...

smells like something is wrong to me...

When I get round to (eventually) ordering, I'll phone sales and put it through them, assuming there's no hefty web discount in place at the time. To make sure I'm getting the right price, and to avoid the credit charge.

There have at least been many errors in Zepto's webpage in the past. Though i don't know if it's their own fault or the local representatives in each country.

I can confirm that this discount is not an error on their website, I just put an order on a lappy today. Didnt do it through the site cause the swedish site isnt up to date with prices on all machines, price ended up about £20 more than I expected with the discount but its nothing I'm going to argue about as its still over £100 cheaper than it was yesterday, just happy I had the timing to wait until today. :)

Isn't the only difference between the Value config and Power config just different options in the configurator?
i.e. you can could choose the Value config and then choose options to get the exact same spec as the Power config?

Not sure the Value config hold all high end components, and even if you config them both with high end components the value will come out more expensive. The Value should have slower compoents available for configuration so the only reason to chose value is if you really are looking for a slower value laptop. Havent played around too much with the configs at zepto site, but dell was this way and the little I've done at zeptos site has come out the same way.

I always thought that Value and Power were the exact same laptops just with different options in the configurator. Aren't they just templates. Suggestions for a possible build to the user.

Is the only difference with the discounts?
If I were to configure the same options starting from the Value option and the Power option, the resulting laptops would be identical (ignoring the price)?

The same configuration hardware wise = same machine in both value and power version.
The reason for the different names is that the Value is normally started off with a cheap config with loads of hardware upgrade options, whereas the Power normally has a pretty powerful config from the beginning and then only has powerful hardware upgrade options. But if you choose the same hardware in both it is basically the same machine, no quality difference.

Rene- will this discount be applied to computers that are found on the international page? Also, how long will this discount run for?

Hi guys, do we get charged for purchasing a zepto by credit card immediatley upon purchase or do the Zepto people wait until disptach/delivery? i want to take advantage of this offer but am not quite able to afford it yet, if you take the money immediately would you be able to say how long the offer is going to last for, days? weeks? so i can try and take advantage of it

Like with most internet merchants, you're charged when the goods ship. You can see an estimated shipping date as you configure the pc.

um, most stores I order from charge immediately, now I didnt order from zepto's site so paying by card wasnt an option. I got my order confirmed with the price set right after I ordered my zepto so I'm expecting that to be the price when it arrives.

We Charge when we ship the notebook to the customer. The money is allocated from your account at the time of payment as far as I know.

If there are ever problems with the sites then customer are welcome to call and we can deal with enquiries over the phone but placing an order through the website is the easiest way as long as everything is ok

ok so you wont take the money off my credit card as soon as i put the details in basically? if the laptop says 31 days estimated delivery time, i am likely to have a couple of weeks grace right before you ship the unit and taske payment?

Interestingly, the reverse situation appears to be happening in Australia - the 6324 is cheaper than then 6224 - about $150 AUD - 60 quid..

I dont think this discount is meant for the 6324, but as its the exact same machine just different colors I dont see a reason they wouldnt offer it to you. They were kind enough to give me this discount on the 6324 I just ordered. :)

Im seriously considering getting either the 6224w or hte 6324w, does anyone know if they will be offering faster processor speeds anytime soon? Also, is 100-120gb enough for a laptop these days? I thought 160gb was average/slightly below average. Companies like rizeon are offering 200gb 7200rpm hard drives, with 2.2ghz processors, 2gb ram, 8600m gt (512mb) for £980. Im just not too sure about the design from rizeon, id rather pay the same and get a lower spec from zepto and be happy with the looks. The rizeon also has a 2 mega pixel camera and fingerprint reader though...
