    Hi,

XMG will reveal a new model in mid-September and has shown the device during Gamescom at a Rainbow Six Siege event.
There is a photo on their Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/p/B1g2vtSi7oU/?igshid=5kut2mbhq5ee

There was also a news at a german tech site: https://www.computerbase.de/2019-08/schenker-xmg-gamescom-slim-notebook-rtx-2080-max-q/

In the news they say ist has been developed in cooperation with Intel.

Does anyone have an idea what this could be? Clevo? Tongfang? Or maybe an MSI barebone?

Specs you know from the picture and the news sounds very interesting. Something like Razer Blade, Gigabyte Aero 15 or MSI GS65:

    15.6" FHD IPS 144 Hz
    i7-9750H
    RTX 2070 Max-Q
    94 Wh battery
    1.85 kg
356 x 234 x 20 mm (so nearly exact the same size Like Razer Blade)
    AZ91D magnesium chassis
    mechanical keyboard

    Cheers

That looks like a Tongfang GK5. Looks like European retaillers are finally getting the RTX 2080 Max-Q version of the 17 inch

EDIT: Ooof, okay so the instagram pic is not the GK5. That german tech site is the Gk7 though. As far as I'm aware, there's no clevo 15 inch laptops with a light up bar on the bottom so maybe it's a new 15 inch Tongfang chassis that doesn't have a numpad

They already have the GK5xxxZ in their portfolio, it's called XMG NEO 15. And as far as I know it also does not have such a big battery. So it must be something different. So I thought that maybe someone else has seen a similar model by another company.

Doesn't really answer your question about the manufacturer, but this looks like the same chassis as the Eluktronics MAG-15, but with XMG/Schenker's spin on it. Eluktronics in the US https://www.eluktronics.com/MAG-15, XMG in EU. That huge battery is SWEET.

It's different laptop. Very interesting. Like razer blade but probably cheaper and cooler :)

    Here is casual review.

    There's already a review by D2D:

I am very interested in this model. Does anyone know if there's a European variant?

*dang it, I opened the page and had it scrolled to the bottom. Sorry, because I missed your earlier post..

Looks great , any idea when it’s available?

As a side note does anyone know what kind of performance gain when you get it with this

Most likely its the same thing with their mech laptops where the MaxQ GPUs can boost to the same performance as the MaxP variants

the new XMG is being announced/revealed in another 15 days. Unfortunately Eluktronics is US only so I hope PCspecialist get this one too. One of these with a new ice lake would do me fine.

It's a shame the keyboard gets not such a good review, but then I am not that fussy.

I've found EU retailer in DE: https://www.xmg.gg/en/the-new-xmg/
Now I wonder, if they can have non DE keyboard layout..

They should do multiple layouts. I got a Pro 15 from them and they did the UK layout
