    Hi guys,
I am sorry i am bringing this for more than one time, but i am disgruntled with Omnipass and its resource hogging and high cpu usage. Is there any free or low cost alternative to be used on HGL 30????

Just uninstall it, that's what I did, made boot faster and typing in a password is just as fast

Yeah, I have to admit that while the feature is cool, I found two reason's to not like it as much as just typing...

    1) I can type faster then it can pop-open and read my finger.
    2) I was forgetting my passwords. :D

Thanks, it seems to be a nice application and i am willing to try it, but what i meant by an alternative to omnipass is an application that works by letting you swipe your fingerprint instead of entering a password manually.

Great reasons. I found myself forgetting my passwords too. Luckily I'm splitting my PC-time with another system so I have to manually type them in now at least part of the time.

But there was a time when I would be stumped and would have to go and get my notebook so I could log into some websites.

And if you change your password, then it's a bit of a pain to have to go and change the password on your notebook's OmniPass as well.

If you're bothered by the Softex, though, I'd also recommend just not using it as well.
