I have recently looked at both the Compal FL90 and Sager 2090. I haven't decided which to go with yet. But, I am worried as to when I should order. It seems to me that there are no more preorders. I was going to order one probably at the beginning of July. If I take this road, when do you think I will be able to get my system? Also, which one would you prefer, the Sager of the Compal. I was thinking of going with Compal, in which I would be ordering from Xocitc PC. However, if I go with Sager, I will probably order from the Sager website. Thanks in advance.

I think you should probably ask the particular resellers as on when and where you might be getting your notebooks.......

They probably know best, of the top of my head.

Well they stopped taking preorders beacuse it's been released lol. wouldn't fit the definition of a preorder. :D

Maybe end of July if you order it at the beginning? I don't know, That's not based on anything, just what I'm saying out of no where. Definitly call the resellers.

They're the same computer with different options and support. I think you'll get better support from powernotbooks or xoticpc than Sager.

I just want to make sure that if I order it in July, that I can get it in July and definately before I head off to college in August. Also, with that 8600GT 512mb, can I expect good to great performance with games? I would love to play games like Oblivion, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Dark Messiah, and possibly Supreme Commander at good resolutions. Thanks.

    I don't know about delievery - I ordered June 1 and I'm still waiting.

The 8600GT is the best current video card in a 15.4" laptop.

Mmm, maybe I should order sooner than later. How come delivery is so long with these machines? Also, has anybody had good experiences with these machines. This will be my first Compal and/or Sager. My friend introduced me to them a few weeks ago, and he is about to order one as well. I really like these machines because they are much more powerful than what you would find in an HP, Lenovo, or Dell.

It's not that it's something with these machines that take a long time. The thing with the NP2090 and the Compal is that they are new releases. It's like The PS3 or the Wii, no way you could get on first day if you didn't camp out or preorder. Well think of the release date as the 22nd.

And as it is a new release no one can say much, because no one's really gotten it. AFAIK, Compal is very reputable in quality machines.

The only physical difference between the Sager and PNB or Xotic IFL90 will be the WXGA+ option that Sager wont be offering. Aside from that, you are looking at the warranty and support as the main differences.
