They are using the Clevo design. Super powerful, but disappointed they didn't do their own design.

I've been looking at them as well. Built proudly in the U.S.A. I might have to sport one once I get the money. Hex-Core processor in the Eon-17. Beastly.

According to their website they are "Proudly built and supported in the USA." Of course, the individual components will be manufactured worldwide. However, it is nice to know that one won't have to deal with crappy support.

'Built', 'Assembled' its just semantics, the lappie body is a clevo/sager. The same one sold by all the other sager retailers in the US, Canada and world wide. Its not as if they created the lappy body from scratch. They get the chasis and fill it with whatever priemum parts you pay to put in it. What really matters from any reseller is the customer service.

Anyone actually own one yet? I want to hear some reviews on performance. I like the idea of lifetime support, but sometims a larger company like Dell (Alienware) can give you arguing flexibility when it comes to problems.

Same here, I just found these guys 2 days ago only to fall madly in love. I'm waiting to see what Alienware produces in the next couple of months, but everything I want in a laptop is available now at Origin, just the price is a little crazy.

The only thing that makes me hesitate is that Alienware might be releasing something soon that can match specs for a lower price, and the Alienware presentation of chasis/lights, because when you're spending thousands on a laptop it may as well glow too.

But I'm very impatient, and as said previously, these guys are basically what Alienware started out as. PC's for nerds by nerds, and there's nothing sexier than that. Just wish there was a little more than 3 threads of whispers and myth.
