I am the happy owner of a P1 UX with a Core Duo T2500 that I've had now for a couple of years. I am now needing to install some Virtualization software that requires the VT-x capabilities that the processor has, but believe it is not enabled in the BIOS. And I can see no BIOS setting to allow me to do so. Is the VT-x indeed disabled?
Having read a bunch of forums it seems that many laptops, including Clevos, have VT-x disabled by default and don't provide BIOS settings for it. For the Sony Vaio it seems that Igor Levicki has come up with a BIOS patch that does the trick http://levicki.net/articles/tips/20...ony_VAIO_notebook_with_AMI_Aptio_EFI_BIOS.php
Any idea if such a thing exists for the P1 UX? Or if there's another solution?

Hi Doodles - great question. I'll have our tecs look into this and we'll get back to you. Re: Sony... we heard today their business group is working on a BIOS update to unlock the Intel VT on VAIO notebooks.

Thanks Scott - that would be much appreciated. I was going to email you folks directly, but this way other P1 users can benefit from anything we discover.

Doddles,
We've been assured that we have the most current BIOS available from the manufacturer up on our P1 drivers page. Information about future updates, if any, wasn't available...
If we hear anything new, we'll let everyone know.
