Hello members:
I have put an order with Eurocom to buy the python!
What I need is the following info ASAP.
The question is I chose 2x pioneer DVD r/rw + and - but they now offer 4x, so I been wanted to copy my home made movie and trying to do a family documentary from video. So how long does it take to copy a 90 min DVD with a 2x burner vs a 4x burner.
If I can get some advise asap I can still change my configuration at the Eurocom factory!
Please advise ?
Thanks

BTW the DVD burner 2x is made by pioneer and the 4x is made by Panasonic. Does it matter ?
Which brand is better too ?

I have read complaints from other folks on the 2x DVD-R drive that is shipped with most Clevos. It's apparently a bit noisy. You might want to opt for the 4x.
Did Eurocom give you a delivery date? That laptop still looks like vaporware to me.

Thanks for your advise. I did add the 4x DVD burner thanks to your advise.
They told me the preordering has been very succesful and the first shipment is all sold and I am in line for the next shipment which is probably in June.
They will keep me posted.

Ugh, there's nothing like waiting a month for a new notebook! I had severe problems waiting two weeks for mine to deliver right around Christmas last year.

cjoshuav I know how you feel but I think the wait is worth it.
BTW, just curious how does the AMD chip in the python compare to the intel ?
Any comments ?

Sorry Br[:I]ian about the Tech error! I was commenting about your opinion and asking you Brian for the question.

The two main advantages to the AMD chip are: support for upcoming 64-bit OS'es and software, and battery life.
You should be able to get an extra hour of battery life out of the chip, with comparable performance to a P4. Then, when 64-bit programs come out, you'll actually be able to run them. Your friends with P4 systems won't.
