Zepto will be introducing Penryn CPUs shortly to their notebook range. We are very exited to be able to offer the latest technology first again, A full press release will follow shortly
The results from In house test have been very encouraging in regards to battery life
We are trying to get a regular NBR user (I wont name them )to review this machine in the next few days, so we can get some more thoughts on this exciting patform

Good news.
So is this the missing link so I can get the claimed battery life for my 6024W?
John -
I hope youll lower the price of the old T7xxx processor so I can get a new on to my lappy
-
There will be in Early 2008 but I do not know how much, or an exact date. I have added the T7500 and T7700 as accessories on the UK website so you can see how much they will cost currently and then you will see the difference when they drop. I only have admin for the websites in English so you may have to use this as a guide in £

Will you be adding Penryn to existing platforms ? And if that is true, is it then possible to upgrade say a 6324 to have a Penryn processor?
Merry christmas! -
When is the 17" coming?
-
I think it was in Q2 of 2008, estimately in April.
-
And this thread is about Penryn, not about a 17" Zepto :-s
That this one: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=195126 -
Just like JayN1, I too wonder if it is possible to upgrade the current CPU's to the newer ones.

I'm sure I read that they use the same socket, so it is probably a matter of a BIOS upgrade (maybe this is the real reason for the long time for Zepto issuing new BIOS updates).
If Zepto are putting the new CPUs into the existing model range then it obviously can be done. However, the CPUs won't be cheap and the change will have the usual warranty implications.

I can say you're right ;-)

The difference in performance is not worth the price!
-
but the battery life?
Penryn is coming............
