Nice Notebook, trying to make it nicer.

Having no joy putting a 250gb SATA disk in it. Simply doesnt show up.

I know the drive is partitioned and formatted, (as it works via usb),

but the x53 refuses to see it.

Is there a bios limit to the size of Drives, if so does anyone know what it is?

    Thanks in Advance

This FAQ might help., but you should be able to see part of the HDD.

The key point is whether the BIOS can see the HDD. If not, then something's not right.
