Mwave is selling a pioneer dual layer DVD burner for $119.00! I know some people are having problems with their DVD burners and I found this on mwave's website.

I don’t know if this is a good DVD burner or not but pioneer usually makes good products.

For the price I think it's a pretty good deal, I think that slim drive is the only drive that has overheat protection. I was looking at a NEC and it didn't have that.

I thought that too, I havent seen any other drives with overheating protection and I couldn't find any good reviews of the model so I cant say how well it works or if it's just a marketing gimmick!

hey looks like a good one. I like the load eject mechanism.
HAS ANYONE seen a harddrive to fit in this space? The manual or brochure mentions modular units. I would love to find one or get an adapter housing for one to fit in this 'slim slot'. My software needs a second physical drive as a scratchdisk and I dont know if the usb will be fast enough.
As a side note or hindsight; wish I would have bought the stripped down model if I was going to rebuild it anyway.[8D]
