I Recently bought one a few weeks ago and noticed that my games started to lag after a while due to heat (gpu and cpu reach 90), I bought a laptop cooler but there is no difference. What should I do? (P.S. My vid card is nvidia 8600 gt)
-
That is normal for 8600M GT, my temps come to 92C sometimes even 94C. Since your NB is new(is it?) you don't need to clean the vents but if it's not then I suggest that. Next, update drivers for GPU from lv2go.com, I suggest 186.82.
What software do you use to measure temps? -
Everest, and I updated my gpu already. I think the driver is 195.91. I also use win 7 does that affect anything?
-
Maybe but not to that margin that should worry you. I'm using W7 as well. Did you do any benchmarking? Try also using HWMonitor, with it you can see what was the max temp during the gaming/benchmarking.
-
Is there any way to lessen the temperature? I can Play prototype and mirrors edge with 60 fps, but when it gets hotter; My fps drops to an average of 15 fps.

Hmmm... I have a JHL90 which also gets really and I got a Zalman NC-2000 and now it doesn't go above 73 while gaming
