    Hi all,

my 6625WD which is now just a little over a year old is acting quite weird since around an hour ago.

The screen flickers like someone's incessantly flicking on/off the power to the laptop.

When I look at the liteon 19v PSU the LED seems to cycle intune with my screen's brightness.

I trie changing the cable to the PSU, and have safely ruled out that possibility..

    any idea guys?

Is it fine on the internal battery?

Check if the mains lead is connecting properly at both the wall outlet and the socket on the PSU.

If there is a power problem going into the PSU or in the PSU itself then the display flicker is probably caused by repeated switching between mains and battery (for which the backlight will automatically reduce brightness).

It was but won't turn on anymore, I suspect the battery's been drained dry.

Hm, I'd hope it's the PSU rather than the plug's soldering etc.. guess I better try and find a liteon power adaptor.

hey John, you're right! thank you very much!

turned out it's my liteon power supply that have failed.

I went shopping around and found a generic 90W 19V 4.74A to replace it, and it's happily humming along again.

    Cheers!

    Hi,
I am having the same issue as you had and looking for a fitting power supply. I find it rather hard to navigate in the jungle of power adapters, where did you find yours and how much did cost?
