Finally I got my computer back but now I'm with power supply unit 300km away from home. I got one of these adjustable power supplies on my hands but couldn't find how much power should I input to this machine.

So anyone with a 6314 psu near, could you please check that out. I'd be very greatful :)

The 6214/6314W uses a powersupply with the specs:
    19V and 4.74A

    Thanks for the info! :)

I the universal power supply I have gives 6A @ 19V so I guess it can't be used...

If those extra ampers don't do any harm, which way is the polarity in in?

I mean which is plus, inside or outside?

I've charged my FSC lifebook s7110 many times with my 6314's charger, and haven't noticed any damage. (the original fsc charger gives out lesser amount of voltage and ampers.)

I believe the common polarity is the plus being in the inside, and negative on the outside.

And be shure to check that the adapter is 100% the same, so it won't break the power input from your laptop.

    Plus is on the inside.

Using 6A wont make any difference, if the device isnt using 6A then the supply wont give 6A!

Yes, greater currentcapacity won't hurt provided the voltage is OK. The computer will only draw the power it needs. Just make sure the connector is centre positive (the normal arrangement).

We are fortunate that Zepto use a standard power connector so universal PSUs are an option.
