Has anyone else experienced this?
When i have my battery in (either charging or charged [one of the 2 options when i battery is in[]]) and i unplug the power cord from the laptop; the screen instantly goes blank, and nothing seems to be operative, i have to hold the power button to shut it down.
Could this be related to the power circutry inside the laptop? My first one had died the 2nd day i had it. The power circutry inside fried and the laptop would not turn on with either AC or DC power.

I'm not sure what's wrong but it could be the battery. Take it back where you bought it from and just have them replace the battery.

i had this same problem. i found out though that the OmegaDrivers were causing the problem.

When I do that, my screen goes black, but for a fraction of a second, then it comes back to normal. It's a 6130

I have the same issue unfortunately.
It only happens every so often though, and I haven't been able to notice the factors which cause it to occur.
As a previous user mentioned, it is most likely related the omega's i have installed. -
I had that same problem happen to me on Wednesday, I was capturing some video from the television then all of a sudden the screen went black, i have the screen turn off after a minute of being inactive but when I moved the mouse nothing happened but it only happened that one time. I guess just remove the omega drivers and reinstall them again.

It seems wierd that the omega drivers could be causing this, but i will try reinstalling them. It has happened once before this time as well. Again, wierd, and annoying

I have to agree with RadcomTxx...I too have been running Omega drivers but have not experienced this issue with the screens blacking out when the power is unplugged.
Just to mater-a-factly point the finger at Omegas work seems like a waste of our collective abilities. Keep in mind that by using Omegas drivers you do run the risk of experiencing video "problems" But i'm one who has had good experiences with his work for years now.
My question is how has the determination been made that its for sure the Omega drivers causing this, as a few posts declare. Do we have log files that we could offer to Omega on this issue? What version of the drivers are being used? Can we put some specifics together so we can truly isolate weather this issue is video driver related or something else.
