Both are offered on Powernotebooks, both are configurable to the same specs. There's a slight price difference between them and I was wondering what the difference between the two systems are that warrants a price difference:

15.4 wxga glossy, t2500, 512 1 sodimm 667mhz, 60gb sata 5400rpm, combo dvd/cd-rw, 3945 abg, built in bluetooth, 9cell battery, xp home, and lifetime 24/7 tech support...those are the same on both systems.

The differences are these: powerpro has a majesty case and a 3-year warranty - next business day shipping while the crown has a "standard" carrying case, and 3 years parts and labor - "match" shipping.

Powerpro is $1502, Crown is $1539.

The case and warranty can't be the only difference...otherwise they'd be sold as the same system...right? So what IS the difference?

That's correct. If you want a 3-year warranty, the better deal is to go PowerPro; you get the free case along with it, too, which is nice. :)

The Crown line also has On-site and Accidental Damage Protection warranties.

The PowerPro line only offer its standard 3 Year Warranty with Next Business Day Shipping paid both ways.

This is actually the major difference between the two brands...but as noted, the PowerPro also comes with the choice of the upgrade Majesty or Squire Carrying Case as standard.

So, if you want a 1 year Warranty, or you want On-site or Accidental Damage Warranties...get the Crown. If you don't want an On-site or Accidental Damage warranty, but you do want a 3 Year Warranty...get the PowerPro.
