I've just reinstalled Vista, and then installed the 167.59 drivers from Zepto's FTP and I now have no powermizer, I say this as my notebook at max clocks all the time no matter what power profile I select in Vista. Anyone know who is responsible for installing the Powermizer feature? NVidia drivers? or Microsoft, during install?
I have just spent ages looking at all the inf's I've got from different driver releases and none of them set the Powermizer registry information. The modded ones from LaptopVideo2go have the settings but I was wondering if this might also be the cure for the stuttering seen in games and as such do not want to try the modded ones just yet.

under vista powermizer is already on and cannot be adjusted
not like xp -
Thanks I already know that. But it is NOT on at the moment and not what I asked. It worked fine before I reinstalled Vista but now nothing. I'm using nTune to check the frequencies of my GPU and they are definitely not going down.

try to install the crapp driver from microsoft's update website then reinstall a driver that u want
-
Nope. Didn't work. There is no driver for my graphics card on windows update.
-
do you have an external monitor enabled? this forces your GPU to stay at max
-
no. I don't use external monitors. I am really interested in why it isn't in the Zepto drivers. These are WHQL'd and I would of thought that Powermizer would be there.
The main reason for me re-installing Vista was to see if I could get back the performance I had when I first got it last year, after buying the notebook with no OS and installing everything fresh off the CD and Zepto's ftp I had no stutter at all with the graphics card on good settings with World in Conflict. Now I am thinking it may be powermizer that is causing the problems as I've been gaming for a while today with no problems what so ever, and that is the only difference I can see. -

;Powermizer settings
HKR,, PowerMizerDefault, %REG_DWORD%, 3
HKR,, PowerMizerEnable, %REG_DWORD%, 1
HKR,, PowerMizerLevel, %REG_DWORD%, 3
HKR,, PowerMizerLevelAC, %REG_DWORD%, 1
HKR,, PowerSaverHsyncOn, %REG_DWORD%, 1
HKR,, EnableCoreSlowdown, %REG_DWORD%, 1
HKR,, EnableMClkSlowdown, %REG_DWORD%, 1
HKR,, EnableNVClkSlowdown, %REG_DWORD%, 1
but this lot isn't in the Zepto inf. Is this because Zepto know it causes problems? and when we complain that there is stuttering and slowdowns they just think because they do not see it with their driver not using powermizer that there is no real problem.
Powermizer???
