    Remember!

If you order Windows Vista 32bit it only recognizes 3gb of
memory, so don't waste your money on 4gb as many buyers
    have already done.

Also! If you value a good keyboard as many laptop users do,
you might consider testing the newer zeptos out first as many
(including me) are giving bad reviews of the keyboards.

Also! Many of the 6625wd series users report high volume
on their fans. If you like a quiet laptop or one that doesn't
have a fan that's always on, you may consider another model.

    Signed,
    unhappy customer

First, because vista only reconigzes 3 gigabytes of memory that doesn't mean that the system can't use the 4 gigabytes (i'm thinking of shared memory with the graphic card, etc also dual channel, is in theory faster)

Second, I owe a 6224W myself, and I got to admit i had to get used to the keyboard. However it is well fitted, you get used to it. The keys are not loose.

The high volume of the fan is relative, what's loud to you isn't loud to me. However there have been reports of high volume, yes however this is fixed in the new bios versions that come out every so often, You might want to consider a bios upgrade. Also higher volume than other notebooks comes with the fact that you want a portable gaming notebook, i'm sure that the higher volume is not present in the study and work models not exclusivly designed for gaming.

With that being said, I'd like to add that the overal support level is of a high standard. If you ask a question you feel like somebody really pays attention to it. Not like, and this is often the case with large companies, that some puppet beind a computer copy pastes the faq link or quotes it.

Fair enough on all points :) , but a couple of thoughts:

I shouldn't have to 'get used' to a keyboard from a high end laptop.
We're using the newest bios in both our 6625wd laptops, both result
in high percentage of fan use irregardless of graphic settings or use.
And as everything is relative, our experience with customer support
unfortunately hasn't been stellar at all.

Thanks though for your thoughts! We used to be big fans of Zepto
but after dropping almost 35,000dk on the pair of laptops, we're a
less willing to settle for what we got.

WOW!!! How did you manage to spend that much? Zeptos pricing is pretty competitive but for that amount you can get a pair of 'proper' highend lappies.
I currently own a 6214w and think it si a great laptop for the money, well doen Zepto :D
I do agree with you, though, at that price you shouldnt have to comprimese with keyboard issues ect......

Hehehe, chunck of change they were. This was about 2½ months ago when
they were only a 'little' on sale. After all the options and shipping it came
in at about 34,700 or thereabouts. We would've returned them but went on
overseas photography projects (we're professional photojournalists) and
by the time we got back it was well past the 2 week return period.

Glad yours worked out for you though!

Oddly, alienware was my first choice but decided on Zepto as wife is Danish
and our previous 4200 model was a real solid workhorse. Next time.... :)

    Of Course

I can help out with any sales enquiries or issues people may have. I deal mainly with the UK customers but I will reply to anyone who sends me a message and put you I touch with someone if I cannot help you out directly.

Rene,Tofen and Pef-Zepto are all supporters of Zepto and will come on at different times to answer technical questions and give details of BIOS releases

These guys are busy helping customers on the phonelines and emails as well so if you want the quickest response then I would suggest to call or email the support contact for that country

    Rene : Denmark
    Tofen : Sweden
    Pef : Sweden/International

    Zepto USA is very new!

    I'vebought a Zepto because :

An alienware cannot be compared with a Zepto 6625WD.
Alienware doesn't have a DX10 Graphics card with 512MB dedicated memory, Alienware has an older version of the chipset, slower memory. The only pro about an alienware is the greater resolution. But i think you need glasses for that resolution on a 15.4".0

An 17" alienware is not a laptop but a desktop replacement. If you consider the prices of that, you can buy a very good desktop for it.

I cannot find any other laptop, and I mean real laptop that can be compared with a other 15.4 inch, and that specs, and weight. I think it's the ultimate laptop if you're a student
And I defiantly can't find a 14" DX10 gamer model with that specs.

I agree with the keyboard, but with the fan i've got no problems. It's realy silent. It could be a BIOS issue.

    Hej Dentinox,

It wasn't a comparison I was making, but a preference for a laptop maker
that in the end wasn't the right choice. On Zeptos website (in danish)
the 6625wd is referred to specifically as a 'desktop replacement,' or at
least was when we bought them.

Loudness of the fans is of course relative, but our fans on both 6625wd
that we own are on most of the time at a volume which to us (my wife
and I) is not agreeable. We're not the only ones complaining of this
issue, in fact I'm guessing there's 5-7 others who've been complaining
    about it recently as well.

I'm not the only one with several issues from the 6625wd series, perhaps
just the most vocal as of late. :)

It's our opinion we should get more for our money, but it's understandable
if your experiences lead you to another conclusion if your standards are
lower or don't experience the negatives we've been experiencing.

I got my 6625W the other day and the keyboard isn't nearly as bad as people make out, you'd think it would be impossible to type on, but to me a keyboard is a keyboard. Sure i've seen better but at the end of the day it really is a minor point. As for the FAN noise i'm an avid PC Gamer and have an expensive / overclocked main desktop rig which is fairly noisy. In comparison, the noise coming from the zepto is hardly noticeable.

The fan / keyboard issue are two very minor points, i think it's a bit harsh to put down a company on two very small issues. If the notebook crashed constantly and hardware failed constantly that's another story.

Oh wow, give me 2 months and I'll definitely pre-order 6324W-Design.
Is it basically the same as the 6224W-Gamer just with a white casing that I like? If so, yeah then I would go for that.

Well it's possible for a 14" to have GDDR3, because of less heat! But did you install it yourself? If not, your card is a GDDR2

To clear up the little confusion about the memory on my 8600GT. I must admit that I have DDR2 :( The thing is that Everest told me I had GDDR3, which of cause isn't the case.
