This just started today. I pressed the power button, the laptop powers up for like 2-3 secs then it shuts down. It keeps doing this when I try to power it up. The AC is plugged in along with the battery. What's wrong with this thing? Any help please, thanks.

maybe try taking out the battery and leaving the ac unplugged for awhile. Thats about all i can suggest. I have no idea what could be doing this.

It sounds like the battery may not be charging. There have been reports of PS dieing and the power socket coming loose due to bad solder joints. That is one reason I have been thinking about breaking my down for inspection. Some PM work. The charger should be out putting 20v top to bottom pins.

I had the same problem and sent it in to Averatec and apparently they have to replace the mother board to fix it. Ive had my laptop about 18 months so its out of warranty and i have not heard from them yet as to the cost...... E.singler
