On the Sabio ftp site Quanta MW1 bios version q3b81 can be found.

But in the included release notes, only 2 changes are listed: 1) Update EC, and 2) REMOVE "Fn+end" touchpad eable/disable function. (that's cool one, don't you think? why one must remove cool feature, that works flawlessly? )

What means first change (what part it fixes)?
Maybe anybody out there has tried new version and can post some impressions?

    Hi,
on sabios site there is a new update Q3C33.
    Anybody flashed it already?
    I will get a Maxdata PRO 8100 IS (58), wich is a Quanta MW1.
Is it possible to use this new bios for this machine?
    Thanks
    Greetings

Yeah, I tried it, it makes machine louder when windows not booted, but when using windows, notebook produces less noise, than with older bioses. there is a drawback though - fan spins more frequently (but with less RPM).
