I was thinking about replacing the 8600gt in my IFL90 with a 3650 gddr3.
I managed to find a FireGL v5700 for cheap and technically it is the same as the 3650 gddr3.
Would this work if I flashed the Vbios with a normal 3650 gddr3 vbios?
If this does work, does anyone know where I can find the 3650 gddr3 vbios?
Thanks

I'm going to PM some people who have done this but are too lame to tell about their experience
I think it should work to some extent with the HP vBIOS, tho there may be some issues. If it doesn't work AT ALL then you may have a version with NO EEPROM.
The EEPROM is usually an 8 legged chip with a yellow sticker, like this one: HP GRAPHIC CARDS ATI M86M V700 8530P 502337-001 - eBay (item 180499533236 end time Mar-22-11 13:02:39 PDT) -

here you are, I think this will work for you (if you have an eeprom). I'll try it soon on one of my cards.

Thanks a ton niffcreature! I'm pretty sure the card has an eeprom, so hopefully this goes well.

Here is the EEPROM circled in green for all to see. For some reason I thought it was pretty easy to tell, well now it will be truly easy.

Would it be possible to flash the vbios if my laptop boots but nothing appears on the display? My card definitely has an EEPROM so I don't know what is going wrong
