    Question on Compal HEL80

    I am fairly sure that I am going to get a Compal HEL80, the only thing is that i have read about the matte screen and I think that I want that because the glossy screen might annoy me with the reflections as I will take it to college. I could put up with glossy but matte would be preferable. The only thing is the only place i can find where i can get a HEL80 with a matte screen is pctorque and for some reason they have had only 1 review on reseller ratings for the past 6 months but before that they had many excellent reviews. Are they reputable? Also, will places such as xoticpc or powernotebooks be getting more matte screens and are there any other gaming notebooks with good matte screens?

    They recently sold their business to another party, and the original owners now run the NBF forums.

    Best to email the respective companies as see what they offer. The HP nc8430 is a 15.4" notebook with a matte screen and the x1600.

    Looks like you lucked out with Donald there. But if that doesn't work out, the HP nc8430 is also a matte screen as Cori mentioned above.
