Hi, im sorry if this is post is in the wrong place or something. My computer is really slow, so my browsing skills arent perfect. Some of the questions might be misplaced, I apologize if thats the case.

Im debating whether to buy a Znote or not, and leaning towards doing it. But I have a hard time figuring out wich one or wich setup I want.

    Question about all the models:
Can I connect them to a regular TV? (S-video, right?)

I think both 3415W and 6224W looks very interesting, but I guess I dont really understand the difference except for screensize/res. and some customization alternatives.

Using my mediocre (at best) notebook skills I came up with these configurations of a very similar price tag, my max pretty much. (6224W beeing slightly cheaper):

So, yeah.. They both seem powerfull enough for me (movies, some gaming..).

Also, is the 6625WD better? Seems more expensive if I undertand it right.

Im hearing some people have heat issues and what not. Does it mather wich CPU I chose? (In this case, T8300 versus T8100).

    Also, whats this?
And is that something that can be bought afterwards (im guessing better battery time?).

Other than that, any difference between the models or recomendation is very welcome, because as stated I dont really understand what im looking att when it comes to notebooks.

Also, are these things any good or what? :)

Welcome. :) I've put some comments in your other thread.

If you are happy with the lower resolution display of the 3415W then that may be the better choice. There's very little discussion of that model here which suggests very few problems (many of the issues with the 6xxx series seem to relate to the BIOS, which is work in progress), and the 6x24W keyboard.

Yes, you could order a bigger battery afterwards, if you need it. However, there will be an additional delivery charge.

I would recommend my system (a 6625WD with 4GB and a 2,5GHZ T9300 penryn and 7200UPM harddrive) for people who:

    - work with big amounts of data (photoshop, etc.) and graphics (the great display with the big resolution)
    - play 3D games (nVidia geForce 8600M)
    - don't want to care about performance issues so much anymore ;)

    ...but also:

    - have much experience with all the OS(Windows) stuff and BIOS, because you WILL have to go through some trouble (like by setup, my headphone jack was disabled because of the old drivers that were included in the vista setup and my screen didn't light up after hibernation). So you better not fear driver and bios updates and keep your eyes on this forum. With some experience, you'll mostly be better at guessing WHY something doesn't work.
But then, you'll get a pretty fast machine.

Otherwise, you should look for a Dell: Plug it in and just start (at least by my experience) and everything should work as expected. BUT you won't get such a highly equipped and fast machine for that price there.

Get Vista Home Premium instead. Looks better than basic and has a few more toys.

As you said "OKAY" not good, not best, not what Vista was supposed to represent. May as well stick with XP. Define "normal user".

For the ones, Aero may just be Eye Candy, but I think it really feels good :)

Personally i don't feel the need of 4 Gb RAM .
More importantly is the screen size. While the 6224 is a 14 incher, the 3415 is 15.4 inch BUT... they are virtually the same size, probably the 6224 slightly smaller. The reason being that the speakers of the 6224 are embeded under the screen.

i would define a "normal user" as one using his PC for Office and Internet, maybe some entertainment and less gaming
for those there's no need for eye candy

Besides I don't think they should stick with XP because the dualcore support in XP is horrible and isn't autoupdated. So for the mass it's crap.
It's the same with many other new technologies, too.

Don't understand me wrong, I like XP, I use it on my own but it was a long way to a (nearly optimal) running system in XP.
Vista worked out of the Box.

So Vista Basic is okay or good or whatever you may call it, for every normal user, not having the time configuring a XP-installation, not having xp at all or willing to use 64bit as this isn't possible with "normal" XP and before buying a 64bit XP i'd prefer buying a vista (even basic) as it's a) cheaper, b) more useful and c) has a better driver support

Aero is really "sweet" even the real-time preview in the taskbar is quiet useful, just like Flip 3D but i don't think its necessary to look through your titlebar^^

If I see his chosen configs he isn't a 'normal' user ;-)

    I agree...that is merely a gaming setup.
